While under contract with Universal, June posed for many faux fashion shots. This bathing suit was made of ermine and was featured in the December 1928 issue of Photoplay magazine.

The Photoplay caption read: "The most expensive bathing suit ever worn in a picture was created for June Marlowe. It was of ermine, with an ermine and seal cape. If June dares go into the water in this outfit, Universal will sue her for damages."

The original photo, pictured above, carries the following caption, penned by the Universal publicity department: "June Marlowe, Universal player, in an ermine bathing suit, quite the exclusive thing for this season."

Quite.
