and
June Marlowe (as Miss Crabtree)

Many forget that June is even in this film. It is about Stymie, an orphan who is living with his "guardian" Farina.  The "authorities" discover this and send an official to cart Stymie away to an orphanage.  A knockabout chase ensues.  Just when it looks like Stymie is going to be caught, Miss Crabtree shows up to take responsibility of finding a home for the little tyke, saving the day for all concerned.

If things were only that easy.  It is interesting to note that the writers used the Miss Crabtree character as the catalyst for everything working out at the end, using nothing more than her reputation.

Miss Crabtree: "If I can find a home for him, can I take charge of this?"
Official: "I guess that'll be alright."
During her career, June had worked with some of the top stars and personalities of the silver screen.  Her next picture would be with two more film legends, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.

This film is usually available through many retail, mail order, and Internet outlets.
