June's performance as "Miss Crabtree" in Teacher's Pet was so warmly received that Hal Roach Studios immediately went into production on a sequel.

The plot is simple.  The gang are concerned they will lose their beloved "Miss Crabtree" over the upcoming summer vacation (their former teacher "ran off and got married" the summer before).  They mistake Miss Crabtree's brother as a suitor and hatch plans to scare him off.  It all backfires at film's end when they learn the true identity of Miss Crabtree's "suitor."

The film is a fine centerpiece to the three Jackie Cooper/Miss Crabtree films.  It treats us to many comedic interludes, from a discussion of marriage while riding to school to a question and answer session during school.  A variation of the question and answer scene would be used again in a film featuring June, Laurel and Hardy's Pardon Us, but it did not work as well as here.

A true "gag" photo.

June's third film for Hal Roach Studio's, her last with Jackie Cooper, in my opinion, is the best of the Our Gang comedies.  Puppy love for Miss Cratree comes to fruition!
