June plays an innocent who arrives in the big city and is hired as a hostess at the Free Lips nightclub because she reminds the owner of his mother.  Murder occurs and the suspicion falls on June's character, but the nightclub owner takes the rap thinking she really did do the deed.  The real murderer is found out quickly enough and the nightclub owner is released from prison just in time to marry June's character.

Variety made mention that the film passed muster mainly on the "neat performance" of the principal actors Novak, Marlowe, and Hagney.
