While the plot twists in this potboiler had more turns than a pretzel, at least one thing remained constant. June's character was virtuous throughout.June's role was that of a long suffering sister of a fellow who marries a hussy. Through one plot twist and another, he must hide from the law, with his sweet innocent sister tending to his affairs while she awaits patiently for his return.
While on the subject of siblings, Variety noted that this was truly a weak sister of a film. Photoplay weighed in to note that neither June nor Charles Delaney, the other lead, could do anything to save the film.

While June's next film would have a title of a decidedly different flair, the role she was cast for would not. At least this time her character would be suspected of a dastardly deed!
