Taking it's title from the biblical admonition to "honor thy mother and thy father" (actually the fifth commandment in the King James Version) the plot reads more like the "reap what you sow" passage from Job. June is listed in all release information as second star, but the film is really a Belle Bennett vehicle. June appears in the beginning of the film and again at the ending of this morality play. Hal Roach aficionados will note that Mary Carr plays a rather overbearing not-so-nice lady here instead of her usual sweet granny-type.For the most part, critics found the film to be pathetic at best.

Happily, June would next appear in a pretty darn good comedy, at least according to those who actually saw it!
This film, once available through Universal's "Show At Home" rental program, is unavailable for viewing.
